iPhone 5 release date rumor: German carrier confirms new iPhone 5 release

The newest iPhone 5 release date rumor to pop up, has a German carrier which has confirmed the arrival of the new Apple iPhone in mid-to-late September. The news comes as the arrival date of the new smartphone has been rumored to be September 21st for several weeks now.

According to NoyPiStuff, Mobilecom Debitel has made the confirmation of Apple's new device. The German carrier has only confirmed the month though, not the actual date of announcement, pre-order, or release. They said on their website:

"In September it's finally happening. A new generation of smartphone will be entering the market. Mobilcom-debtel will inform you for free by e-mail about all interesting subjects concerning this phone."

With this latest news, it only further adds to the speculation over what Apple may bring out in September along with the new iPhone 5. There's been talk of the company also debuting its iPad mini and a new iPod nano possibly as well. However, other analysts, reporters, and bloggers have discussed how bringing out too many devices during a major event could lead to issues for Apple. Those would include trying to sell too many products to consumers at the same time, and not allowing the iPhone 5 release date news to have the impact it will.

As for now, Apple is expected to have a press conference announcement on September 12th, during which time they're likely to not only debut their new iOS 6 operating system, but also the new iPhone 5 smartphone. It's expected pre-orders may start on the same day, with customers able to receive their phones on September 21st.
