The new Apple iPhone 5 date rumors seem to be constantly changing, and with the hype building in anticipation of the September 21 date of it's release, its surely to be one hot item this Christmas season.
The possibility that Apple may sell over 250 million iPhone 5 phones is making it one of the most highly anticipated gifts of the holiday season, but is it possible that many fans of the smart phone will not be able to get it when it's finally released?
Ahead of each new iPhone launch, there is always rumors that hit the internet about something to do with favorable or negative reports on the phone, but this rumor has lovers of the Apple product wondering if they will be able to hold off until the holiday season to pick one up.
Is this something to worry about, or just the usual last second hype to make sure the consumers will swallow up the latest iPhone property?
Well, according to Yahoo news, there could be a shortage before it even hits the shelves. Several unnamed sources are claiming the company’s initial supply of iPhones may be more than 25% short of its original order.
"According to the report, the use of new in-cell touchscreen technology on Apple’s next-generation iPhone has resulted in unforeseen challenges, and third-quarter “iPhone 5” shipments will fall from 20 million units to less that 15 million as a result."
Either way Apple looks to profit nicely from the new iPhone, but this rumor of a shortage will surely make the iPhone 5 a hot holiday item. It's hard to believe, but the official kick off to the holiday buying season is right around the corner!
