T-Mobile gets in the iPhone Business

Well, not officially, per se. It's not secret that there are quite a few T-Mobile customers who are rocking jailbroken iPhones on Big Purple's network. So how does T-Mobile support customers who are using a phone that technically shouldn't be used on their network?

Well, it turns out that T-Mobile has gone pretty far out its way. The first sign of this was when the carrier began offering micro sim cards to their customers for use with the iPhone. Now, for the release of the iPhone 5, nano SIM cards will be making it's way to T-Mobile stores.

This is fast on the heels of the announced, "Bring Your own iPhone program" that T-Mobile has recently been pimping.

T-Mobile may offer cheaper prices than other major carriers, but, one would have to question the economic feasibility of such a venture. An unlocked iPhone 5 will retails for $600, costing a customer full retail, after taxes, even more. Money in the long run would be saved, as T-Mobile has an unlimited everything plan with 5gb of high speed, un-throttled data for $70 a month, which beats ATT's similar, $100 plan, but one must also consider the sacrifices in data speed, as T-Mobile iPhone users will have a much more limited LTE network.

But if you're worried about price, you're probably not getting an iPhone 5 to begin with.
