Today live in San Francisco, Apple unveiled its newest iteration for the hit smartphone, the iPhone 5.
According to IGN, the phone is indeed called the iPhone 5 despite it not being the fifth installment in the phone's history.
Apple is calling the device the most beautiful thing it has ever created, and for those who did see the leaked photos of the iPhone 5 about a week or two ago, the official iPhone 5 apparently looks just like those images portrayed.
The Apple phone of Apple phone's will be featuring a screen that is taller than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S. The device is made of glass and aluminum and it is the lightest of any other iPhone ever created.
Another proclamation that Apple made was this device is apparently the world's thinnest smartphone. It will be featuring a high resolution retina display screen, much like the 4S currently has. The total resolution of the screen is a jaw-dropping 1136 x 640.
In addition to all of this, the phone will have a lighter, more efficient A6 processor, longer battery life, an improved speaker, a HD camera for when users engage in the Face Time app and a 3D mapping feature.
Those of you wondering about a release date can stay tuned as that will be coming a little bit later.
