‘iPhone 5′ name revealed via Apple.com’s search engine

It’s the “iPhone 5″ folks.

Just a few hours before Apple’s iPhone event begins, it appears that the company’s own search engine has revealed the iPhone 5 name, reports 9to5Mac.

A search for the phrase “iPhone 5″ on the Apple.com search engine returned the below results, which seems to make the new iPhone’s name pretty clear. Given that Apple display a huge “5″ on its invitation for today’s event, the name isn’t too surprising.

At this point, it seems like there are few details about the iPhone 5 that we don’t already know. A plethora of leaks and rumors have pointed to the major upgrades: a longer 4-inch display, a thinner body, and a metal rear.

Developing, refresh for updates.
