With the iPhone 5 release date announcement expected in less than two weeks, new sources are saying the 6th generation Apple smartphone will have new earbuds to go along with the redesigned iPhone 5.
An article at The Verge says a video has revealed the new iPhone 5 earbuds. The article, which was posted earlier today says the current earbuds design "dates back to 2006," but was updated in 2008 to add the "in-line remote." The article claims a site known for obtaining valid pre-release information has released video which shows earbuds that are said to be for the upcoming iPhone 5 release.
The source says "the earphones are being manufactured at a Vietnamese Foxconn plant, and they bear the legend "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in Vietnam." on the cable. The buds have an unusual molded design that appears to funnel sound into the ear canal, and the speaker grilles are largely hidden from view."
If rumors are true the iPhone 5 release date will be on September 21st, and an announcement is expected at a Apple event on September 12th. If all goes as expected Apple lovers will not have to wait much longer to get the new iPhone model in hand.
