TechCrunch reported today that Apple's search engine mistakenly revealed the details of Apple news announcements in advance of today's press event.
When you type the search term iPhone-5 in Apple's search engine, here is one of the results of the search - http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2012/09/12Apple-Introduces-iPhone-5.html
This was first spotted by 9to5 and the search results indicate that the new iPhone will indeed be announced at today's press event scheduled for 10:00AM Pacific time.
The search results also reveal a new iPod Touch, a new iPod Nano and a new iTunes update.
None of the links are live at this time, but appear to be placeholders for the press releases which will be made public after the announcements are made at today's press event. Therefore, no details about features or other surprises are revealed in the search results.
It is interesting to note that even Apple can goof up by revealing its secret announcements in their own search engine. Perhaps this is the company's way to infuse more interest in today's press event.
