After months of rumors and speculation, the wait is finally over. If you were waiting for an event invite, that is. Apple has released the flood of invitations for their newest event, which is speculated to be centered around the latest generation of iPhone.
As you can see in the invite, there's a "five o'clock shadow" right below the 12. That's leading people to postulate that the next iPhone will indeed be called the iPhone 5. That has people up-in-arms, since technically this is Apple's sixth-generation iPhone device. However, from the consumer's perspective, iPhone 5 just makes sense.
We'll have to wait and see if any of the other rumors and leaks pan out. Will the device look exactly like we've seen the leaked parts? We don't have long to wait, so stay tuned.
