iPhone 5 release date: New iPhone 5 to be joined by iPad Mini and more in 2012

With the iPhone 5 release date expected to be announced in the next couple weeks, it looks like Apple has more than just the new smartphone scheduled for 2012. A new report indicates the company has a total of 8 new products expected to be released in the next few months, making for a big holiday shopping season.

As reported by Apple Insider, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities indicated earlier today that the fourth quarter of 2012 will be a jam-packed product launch for Apple. Among the products said to be coming out in the next several months are the new iPhone 5, iPad Mini, new iPod's, MacBook Pro, and iMac. However, it appears they won't be announced on the same date.

The new iPhone 5 release date has been rumored to be September 21st for weeks now, with the Apple announcement expected on September 12th. It's unknown if there will be any other products announced at the event, but it's being reported that a new iPod touch, 21.5-inch iMac, and 13-inch MacBook Pro are all expected in September as well.

There are also reports indicating Apple will hold a second media event in October. During this time they'll unveil the new smaller iPad model, as well as a new iPod Nano and new 27-inch iMac. All of that means plenty of tech gadgets will be available for holiday shoppers in 2012. More information on what the various gadgets will include can be seen at AppleInsider.com website.
