The iPhone 5 release date is rumored to be just weeks away, yet fans of the incredible device can't wait to get their sneak peeks at it. According to the technology page at Fox News, some of the accessories are already available for the new Apple phone.
The new case and cords have been released (not publicly) according to Fox, but is this true, or one of the thousand of rumors circling the internet?
Reportedly, Yishay Hornik of accessory maker Skech showed off the new iPhone 5 case almost two weeks before the expected announcement on September 12.
"We have our sources," said a representative of peripheral maker Macally (not everyone provided a name). He said that the company goes beyond reading rumor sites and has people on the ground.
Adding fuel to the fire of the new iPhone 5 is the rumor out that mock phones have been detected.
According to Apple insider "GSM Israel says it stumbled upon the device at the booth of a third party accessory maker during its normal tour of the IFA show floor in Berlin on Saturday. The device in the video appears fairly similar to the dozens of earlier leaked enclosures said to represent the new iPhone."
Knock off products are always a worry to big companies, but this could be very big as the iPhone 5 has the potential to be one of the hottest selling items this holiday season.
Locally the iPhone 5 rumors have many people excited to get their hands on the new Apple product.
"I have the 4S, but I am planning to trade up in November." Chris Green of Center Line said. "I need to treat myself to an early Christmas gift."
The iPhone 5 is rumored to be released on September 21.
